a sonification of the sun

Hour Angle performance 1129am Friday 20th March 2009 Rose Bruford College.

This sonification of the spring equinox uses an electric ensemble featuring: Matt Flanagan - Trumpet; Desmond Tucker - percussion, Tom Flynn - electric guitar, Ben Davies - electric guitar, Binni Steinsson - electric bass.

Hour Angle performance 2344 20th June 2008 Iliffe Yard, Pullens Estate, London.

The summer solstice is the the moment when the sun reaches its most northerly position in relation to the Earth and starts moving south again. This solstice performance of Hour Angle sonifies this moment inviting the audience to appreciate this astronomical event.
